When Gem and Tiff end their relationship, their fur-baby, a dog named Butch, has a difficult time dealing with the breakup, so she forces Gem and Tiff back together as co-parents (if not as lovers). Keep an eye out: filmmakers Zoe McDonald and Holly Austin play the two lead roles, but each also plays a secondary character, the constable and the busker. This is episode 1 of a planned series, with the actress who plays the ex playing the new love interest as an ongoing motif. Cute, but not compelling. Recommended.

Erica returns to Las Vegas for a family weekend. Dad, after greeting Erica with a Glock because there was a home invasion robbery nearby, lets slip that Mom’s cancer is back. Throw in a homophobic sister trying to give Erica a more ladylike hairstyle, and two-months-sober Erica wonders whether she can plug back in with her kinfolk and keep her sanity at the same time.
