The Trace of Your Lips |
A global pandemic (maybe Covid-19, maybe something else; it’s not clear) causes a complete lockdown of Mexico for more than a year, with increasingly severe restrictions on leaving your home. Two men who live in the same apartment complex find one another online and begin to talk about what they would like to do sexually. They finally meet up, one sneaking across to the other’s apartment, or maybe that’s all fantasy; again, it’s really not clear.
The story doesn’t really work, with just episodic glimpses of connections between various people with no clear through line. The erotic scenes were oddly detached, draining them of sexual energy. If you’re curious, by all means watch the trailer, but in general I would have to say NOT RECOMMENDED.
Note: the printed program indicated that this film would be available in the streaming encore, but it is not.
