Welcome to the new format, and What’s Coming in June

Frameline50: Can't Stop, Won't Stop
Frameline50

Blogger/Blogspot was created back in the days before smartphones, so it was designed around desktop computers and maybe the occasional laptop. Proper support for mobile devices has been long in coming, but I finally found a template that keeps the search box in mobile view — a requirement for me, since I like to search for the filmmakers in my reviews from past years. (That’s actually the whole reason I started the blog in the first place, to keep track of what I’ve seen at the festivals.) I hope you like it.

Next on the agenda are the June twins, the 22nd annual Queer Women of Color Film Festival (QWOCMAP), the weekend of June 12–14, with 2½ days off before the 50th annual Frameline San Francisco International LGBTQ+ Film Festival, June 17–27. (Frameline decided to keep the new schedule, starting on Wednesday night and ending on Pride Saturday, because Pride Sunday is already too crowded.)

I will be doing advance screeners of as many Frameline films as I can manage, and will start posting my reviews as we get closer to festival time.
